Just like Route 8, Moor of Icirrus snows when it’s Winter in-game (April, August and December). When this happens, all of the puddles that would normally be accessible in the area is frozen over, leaving only water to fish and Surf on to encounter wild Pokemon.

During the other months, moving through puddles is like moving through Tall Grass; Pokemon will appear at random. During Winter, many areas are also slippery, so you’ll slide along in a single direction until you hit an obstruction, at which point you can slide in another direction.

You’ll need to do this to navigate these areas. It’s not all that hard, so you shouldn’t need us to hold your hand and guide you through. Anyway, let’s get onto the walkthrough itself!

First, turn on your Dowsing MCHN and head west. Use it to find the nearby TinyMushroom . From there, head north up the hill past the bald man. When you see the boulder to your west, move down to it. Use Strength and push it west into its hole. Speak with the nearby Pokemon Ranger to start up a battle with her.

Now head north, then west and circle around the fairly large body of water. Continue until you reach an area to your south. When you do, grab TM84 - Poison Jab here, then backtrack to the Pokemon Ranger. Head back east over the boulder and back up to the bald man on the hill.

Now head north. When you hit the puddle, continue north up to the Fisherman.

You may have collected many Green Shards by now; these can be used to pay Nacrene City’s Move Tutor.

Once he’s been defeated, head east around the body of water. There you’ll find a Green Shard . Now make sure your Dowsing MCHN is on and head west past the Fisherman and up over a small hill. Use your MCHN to find the hidden Big Mushroom .

Head south-east to the puddle, then east through this puddle. When you see two paths leading in two different directions, take the one heading north-east. There’s a Heart Scale up. Snatch it up and head back to the puddle. This time head south-east. When you reach the ledge, jump over it.

Head east and you’ll reach another Fisherman.

Turn on your Dowsing MCHN and follow it find a hidden Dawn Stone . After this, head around into the little alcove between the trees and grab the Rare Candy sitting there. Last of all, head south-west. When you see a Pokemon Ranger to your south, move over and take him on.

Now move around the pool of water to his right and grab the Full Heal . That’s really it. Move north from the Ranger, then head west until your see the exit to your south. Move through it and you’ll be back in Route 8 . Time to finish exploring it!
