Description

The Toad status effect turns characters into relatively harmless amphibians, greatly lowering their battle capabilities. Interestingly, each party member has a unique look when they’re turned into a frog.

Methods of Application

• Wearing an Enfeeblement Ring
• Get caught in the Toadfrog Tune attack
• Get caught in the Bad Breath attack
• Get caught in the Bullfrog Bubble attack
• Get caught in the Anuran Fluid attack
• Get caught in the Ghastly Shower attack

Effects

• Greatly lowers battle capabilities
• Unlocks the Leapfrog and Bubble Breath abilities
• Replaces weapon attacks with tongue attacks

Interactions

• Dispelled by Maiden’s Kiss
• Dispelled by Esuna
• Dispelled by Remedy

Protection

• Wear the White Cape accessory for total immunity
• Dodge the Toad-inflicting attack

Notes

The Toad effect is effectively a joke. You can still use items and dodge, but that’s hardly worth losing access to limit break moves, most of your health, and opposable thumbs.
