Arachno Guard Spider

Description

A step up from the Guard Spider you encountered in Chapter 2, the Arachno boasts nearly 30,000 HP and a number of new attacks, which will become standard for this type of machine going forward. Super EM Field will shoot out pulses of energy around the robot, dealing damage multiple times if you’re too close, its Shinra Type-100 Cannon will deal trivial damage at a distance, and its Spider Web attack can inflict Stop. You can easily dodge Spider Web (named Disarm Net for some later variants) by just dodge rolling when you see it jump - a precursor to this attack. While its guns and Super EM Field are both fairly weak, its dual claw attack is quite painful - trends that will continue throughout the Guard Spider line. You will encounter the Aracho in Mission 1-2-6 and 7-2-2.
