Final Fantasy VII Rebirth

All Gongaga Activation Intel Locations - Final Fantasy VII Rebirth

By
Shane Williams

Gongaga will be the third region you adventure through in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, but you won’t be able to fully explore it until you’ve got access to the Chocobo which is obtained after dealing with the reactor halfway through the chapter. World Intel is a huge part of the exploration in Rebirth, so you’ll want to activate all of the towers in order to reveal the locations of nearby pieces of intel. On this page, we’ll provide you with all the locations for all the Activation Intel in the "Gongaga Region" iconGongaga Region.

Activation Intel 1: Midriver Isle Tower

The Midriver Isle Tower can be found to the southwest of the Rugged Shoals. It can be reached by working your way through the forest until you come across two bridges, then head across the one to the west and slide down the rope. Follow the sketchy wooden path to the west to find the tower sitting on a small island in the distance. The switch to activate the tower will be at the top, so you will need to do a little climbing first.

Activation Intel 2: Old Pipeline Tower

The Old Pipeline Tower can be found to the east of the Magon Hill Fast Travel. It can be reached by taking the southern exit out of the Gongaga Village and following the path all the way down. Here you’ll need to climb up to the top of the tower via the rope to find the switch that activates it.

Activation Intel 3: Verdant Plateau Tower

The Verdant Plateau Tower can be found to the southwest of the Magon Hill Fast Travel. However, it is sitting high up on a small island, so you’ll need to rely on your Chocobo and the mushrooms to reach it. The first mushroom you’ll need to use is found to the north of the tower, then you’ll need to use the center mushroom to reach the tower itself. Again, you’ll need to climb up to the top of the tower via the ropes provided to find the switch that activates it.

Activation Intel 4: Gongaga Ruins Tower

The Gongaga Ruins Tower can be found to the southwest of the Verdant Plateau Tower. You can reach the ruins by jumping across to the island to the southeast of the Verdant Plateau Tower via the mushroom and then sliding up the long branch. From here, follow the stairs down and it’ll lead you directly to the tower. Unfortunately, you can’t climb the tower normally, so hop back onto the Chocobo, head up the path to the south of the tower, and slide across another branch.

Activation Intel 5: Fungi Forest Tower

The Fungi Forest Tower can be found to the east of the observation tower. It can be reached by heading up towards the Holy Ruins Lifespring and then using the mushroom to the northeast to reach the tower. Head on up to the top via the rope and then climb down to the first level to find the switch that activates it.
