You’ll find plenty of collectibles in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’s world, and one of the trickiest are the Lost Gestrals. These sneaky little Gestrals can only be found on the World Map and will require some detective level combing of the areas to find all nine Lost Gestrals, fortunately, you have this handy guide here. Where to Find Every Lost Gestral¶

You’ll have to wait for a while before you come across your first Lost Gestral, once you gain access to the Ancient Sanctuary. Remember, these little friends can only be found on the World Map, you won’t find them in any of the field areas. Note that you can find these Lost Gestrals while mounted on Esquie, and some of them are truly hidden, requiring Act III to get the final ones. The table below will show you where to find every Lost Gestral in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33:

Lost Gestral #1¶

The first Lost Gestral can be found by heading to the east of the Ancient Sanctuary, as you make your way toward Esquie’s Nest.

Lost Gestral #2¶

The second Lost Gestral is hiding on the side path leading to the Stone Wave Cliffs. Take the eastern path, deal with the Bourgeon and you’ll find it on your right.

Lost Gestral #3¶

The third Lost Gestral is located on the same island that the White Tree area can be found, which is west of the main island you start the game on and you’ll need to be able to swim (obtained by completing Stone Wave Cliffs).

Lost Gestral #4¶

The fourth Lost Gestral can be obtained once you get through Forgotten Battlefield. In this snowy area, go to where the pots are south of Monoco’s Station, at the base of the mountain.

Lost Gestral #5¶

Proceed through the game until after you finish Old Lumiere, where you’ll get the ability to swim through Coral. Head to the red island northwest of Old Lumiere and you’ll find a pair of Mimes, just behind them is the next Lost Gestral.

Lost Gestral #6¶

To find the sixth Lost Gestral, you’ll need to return to the island where Coastal Cave is (east of Old Lumiere) and then go through the coral to the north to find another beach that houses this Gestral.

Lost Gestral #7¶

You’ll have to wait until Act III and the ability to fly to find the next Lost Gestral, situated all the way on the eastern part of the map (that is red). You’ll find Endless Night Sanctuary here and just to the west of it, another lonely Gestral is awaiting you.

Lost Gestral #8¶

In the northwest of the map, you’ll find The Reacher, an area you need to travel for Maelle’s Relationship quest. Just northeast of there is a patch of grass you can land on, the Lost Gestral is found here.

Lost Gestral #9¶

The final Lost Gestral is perhaps the trickiest to find, once you have the ability to fly, travel to where the Endless Tower is (you really can’t miss it) and fly up the left side of it to spot a floating island, the lonely Lost Gestral can be found here.

Lost Gestral Rewards¶

So, you may be wondering what you can do with these Lost Gestrals now that you’ve found them. If you check in your Camp, you’ll find a new large Gestral, speak to him after every Lost Gestral you find to get a reward, and once you’ve found them all, you’ll unlock the Lost Gestrals Achievement/Trophy.
