Travel to Elgarthe and as soon as you enter, some scenes will happen and once they’re over, you’ll be at Hush Grove. Go past the first opening and then, Lumina will clear a path through the trees for you. Follow this path as it goes around, up a ladder (destroy the rock with your vulcosuit for a glow spot), and into a clearing with a shack. Watch the scene here, then you’ll be back in Elgarthe, where you will need to see the Elder once you regain control. Exit her house for another scene, where you will find out your next destination, Moon Ridge. Make sure you save your game before you enter (and also reform your party, since it shuffles them around), then travel to the shack at the top for a quick scene and a boss fight.
BOSS - Reborn Moon¶
You are essentially fighting Lumina here, complete with all of her moves (and one you don’t have) and speed. Yes, Reborn Moon is quite fast and will be hitting you more often than you wish, so you will want to have some Love Axioms equipped and possibly include Sherra and Kanata in your party. If you’ve been using Lumina up to this point, then you likely have a good idea what her skills do, but if not, then they will be described (at least the ones the boss uses). Air Blast is an air-elemental attack that will fill up the ATB gauge after performing it, meaning that the boss will get another turn very quickly.
Earth Bind, as its name suggests, is earth-elemental and can inflict slow on anyone it hits. The last move Reborn Moon will use is one that Lumina doesn’t have, called Holy Tenet. This skill hits eight times and can do upwards of around 200+ damage, so you will want to keep your health high. One of the first things you should do in this battle is inflict Slow on the boss, whether it’s from a Momentum Spritnite or via a skill’s effect (Lumina’s Earth Bind can do this). This will limit the boss’ damage output for a few turns, at least when it doesn’t use Air Blast.
Another thing you might want to do is inflict Physical Mar on Reborn Moon, as this will also help in the long run. Remember that each Physical Mar is assigned its own debuff/immunity phase, so it’s individually counted and even if the boss has immunity, you can apply it via another source. Poisoning the boss is also helpful, since that’s a good damage source because of how often Reborn Moon attacks. You don’t need to spread out your characters too much, but don’t stick them too close together as to have more than one character receive damage.
With the battle over, you will receive the Sunlight Spritnite, which can be traded into any magic consortium for the Holy Tenet skill spritnite. Also, you have the chance to trade in memories for the same skill spritnite, as the Sunlight item is one-use only.
