This Tier I resource is predominantly used in the creation of base building, and production recipes, although it has many other uses.

How to Find this Item

Clay is derived from clay deposits which can be found all over the yard. If you have access to the Flooded Zone, that’ll be your best bet to find the deposits. Other places that you can find it is the Pond, and all its connecting areas, Grasslands, Black Anthill, and the Woodpile.

To procure clay from its deposits, you’ll need to have access to an Acorn Shovel which can be crafted using the following recipe:

You can unlock the recipe for the Acorn Shovel by analyzing an Acorn Shell or Crude Rope, and reaching Brainpower Level 3.

Analyzing the Clay will unlock the following recipes: Armor Dummy, Clay Foundation, Clay Ramp, Repair Tool, and the Weapon Wall Mount.
