Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising

How to Earn Baqua Quickly

By
Jarrod Garripoli

Baqua is the currency in Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising and you need it for a lot of stuff. You will quickly go through it while crafting and upgrading equipment, as you don’t get any Baqua for killing enemies.

Baqua is important to be able to craft items (left), as well as upgrade your equipment (right)

As you play through the game, you will undoubtedly run into a lot of situations where you don’t have the Baqua to do some things. Unfortunately, Baqua can be kind of tight during the normal game, unless you get lucky and get some drops while exploring dungeons. Thankfully, there are a few ways you can earn Baqua in the game.

1) Complete Sidequests

As you go along the main story, you will unlock a lot of sidequests. You can see which ones are available via the Bulletin Board in the Plaza, but you will need to speak with the respective NPCs in order to begin the sidequests. A lot of these will reward you with Baqua upon completing them, especially the Shop Quests, so it’s a good idea to do as many as possible to rack up your money.

2) Break Pots/Crates

While exploring the dungeons in the game, you will find that there are a number of pots and crates you can break with your weapon. Doing this will yield Baqua, so you should definitely always break these every single time. Note that most of these yield a low amount of Baqua, but there are some pots that actually yield a high amount. It’s important that the Baqua you receive from these are set in stone, so you can use this to your advantage and continually farm them to get a fat wallet.

(1 of 3) Go to this spot in the Great Forest

As an example, once you have recruited Garoo and can break large rocks, go to the Forest Cave signpost in the Great Forest and head downward right next to signpost. Continuing along, you will see some pots and one of them will contain 500 Baqua. This is one such instance of a breakable that has a high amount of money, so keep a lookout for more while you explore. As you delve deeper into the main story and open up the harder areas, you will even find breakables with 3000-4000 Baqua. Remember you will need to leave the area completely before those breakables are replenished.

3) Sell Items at the Pawnshop

During the course of the game, you will unlock a shop on Second Street, called the Pawnshop. As the name suggests, you will be able to sell anything in your inventory here, including your Resources you have accrued. This is another way to get some Baqua, especially if you have gotten a large number of a certain Resource. Note that there are some items, particularly the ones gotten from breakables (the pots and crates). That gives breaking those items even better, since you can get the items that sell for a good bit of Baqua. These items will usually always appear at the bottom of the Pawnshop list whenever you go there.

The items that can be sold without worry are as follows:

  • Rare Stone
  • Monster Fossil
  • Ancient Scrap
  • Ancient Currency
  • Ancient Trinket
  • Ancient Sculpture
