Description

The Gloves of Soul Catching are legendary gloves featured in Baldur’s Gate 3. These gloves are particularly well-suited for Monks, as their effects are applied to unarmed attacks. The Gloves of Soul Catching were previously worn by Autumnal Baskin, a former professional meditator who later became a bare-knuckle champion. In his quest for enlightenment, Autumnal Baskin embraced both the path of cosmic harmony and the path of honing his fighting skills. The gloves carry the legacy of his journey towards understanding.

Effects/Special Abilities

• Soul Fist: Your unarmed attacks deal an additional 1~10 Force Damage.
• Soul Catching: Once per turn, on an unarmed hit, you regain 10 hit points. Alternatively, you may forego healing to gain Advantage on Attack Rolls and Saving Throws until the end of your next turn.
• Constitution +2 (up to 20): Equipping these gloves also grants a +2 bonus to Constitution, potentially increasing it to a maximum value of 20.

Location / Where to Find

The Gloves of Soul Catching can be obtained in the House of Hope by speaking to Helsik, who has the ability to teleport you there. These gloves are involved in the quest “Escape the Deal”, they can also be awarded by rescuing Hope and successfully getting her to escape, which concludes the “Save Hope” mini quest inside the House of Hope. You can also obtain them by stealing them from the wall near to where you find the Orphic Hammer.
