A ferocious apex predator of its kind, many times larger, stronger, and more hostile than its smaller kin. The Alpha Wolf, true to its name, is regarded by others of its kind with absolute authority. They never truly hunt alone.
Description
The Alpha Wolf is a level 16 V Blood Carrier found in the 
Farbane Woods, often the first boss players encounter in V Rising. This apex predator, larger and stronger than other wolves, commands its pack with authority. The Alpha Wolf attacks non-wolf creatures but ignores players in Wolf Form. Defeating it unlocks the Wolf Form ability and rewards players with items like 
Rugged Hide, 
Bone, and 
Unsullied Hearts. The boss can also engage other enemies, making it easier to defeat if weakened by prior battles.
Trivia
Before the 1.0 Update, this V Blood Carrier was referred to as “Alpha Wolf”.
