Death Mountain West Tunnel Surface Cave

Description

To survive in the Death Mountain West Tunnel you’ll need some decent heat resistance from armor or food.

You can find a number of carts just outside the cave, and a couple of Fans which you can attach to one before placing it on the tracks. However, the tracks will break as you go over the first magma pit, so be ready to climb up the side of the rock face if this happens.

Once you’re in the cave you’ll find an NPC named Mota, and you can start The Abandoned Laborer side quest by speaking with him. To complete this quest you can attach three Rockets (which you’ll soon find if you don’t have any) to the nearby cart, then ask Mota to get in the cart before directing it to the entrance and firing the rockets. You need to get Mota to the end of the track outside, so you may need to attach a Fan to the cart to push it over the last stretch.

To advance deeper into the cave, you need to use Yunobo to smash through the rock which is blocking the path to the east. On the other side you’ll find Brightbloom Seeds, Rockets, Fans, and a Bubbulfrog.
