You’ll come across some Lickers during the Police Station section of the game. Lickers are best ignored as you can sneak past them, but if you are spotted you can use a Flash Grenade along with Carlos’s Assault Rifle to quickly take it out.

How to Kill the Licker¶

Use Assault Rifle to Defeat¶

You will encounter the Licker while playing as Carlos. When facing the Licker, you can use the Assault Rifle’s fire rate and damage output to quickly defeat the Licker.

Knife Can Also Be Used¶

Although it’s very tricky, you can also use the Survival Knife to kill the Licker. However this is not advised as getting close to the Licker will likely result in you getting damaged. Only use your knife when you are running low or completly out of ammo and have no other choice!

Face Head On¶

The Licker is very fast and agile, meaning that running away from it poses a high risk of you getting caught and damaged. It is recommended that you face and kill it instead of running away.

Use Punch to Stagger¶

Carlos can use a punch instead of dodging away from the enemy. This can be used against the Licker to stagger them, and give you some time to heal, aim, or attack.

Sneak To Get Into Position¶

The Licker has no sense of sight, but has amazing auditory senses. You can sneak around to get into a good position to fight it. Avoid running or firing your weapon as this makes substantial unnecessary noise.

Flash Grenades Disorient It¶

You can also use a flash grenade to disorient Lickers. However, the Licker will start randomly attacking in all directions. So make sure to keep away to avoid getting hit and sustaining damage.
