This page offers a guide on how to learn and brew the Sunlight Potion, which is required for the main story quest in Little Witch in the Woods.
How to Get the Sunlight Potion Recipe¶
You’ll learn the Sunlight Potion recipe when Ellie and Virgil discuss how to get rid of the Blue Moon Butterflies on the shining tree. They’ll come to the conclusion that you can chase them away with a bright burst of light.
Sunlight Potion Recipe¶
To make the Sunlight Potion, you’ll need Witchflower Extract, Maple Herb extract and Squishychub Fur Extract.
How to Get Witchflower Extract¶
Witchflowers are found pretty commonly on Green Forest Plains and they can be harvested in the day and night. Look for a multi-leaf green plant then use x2 Witchflowers to craft Witchflower Extract using the Extractor.
How to Get Maple Herb Extract¶
Maple Herb Extract can be extracted from Maple Herbs. Maple Herbs are a pretty common herb found hanging on vines in the Green Forest Plateau area. They are brown in color and can be harvested both day and night. To make the extract, you’ll need x2 Maple Herbs.
How to Get Squishychub Fur Extract¶
Squishychub Fur Extract is made from x2 Squishychub Fur, which can be harvested from Squishychubs. They’re pretty common and found in groups of three on Green Forest Plains - they’re only out in the day though. To extract the fur, you’ll need to use your hands to grab the squishychubs and hold them for a few seconds whilst the interact wheel fills up. Once you have the Squishychub Fur, use the extractor to form the Squishychub Fur Extract.
Once you have all the materials, place them in the Witch’s Cauldron, and increase the fire stage to 5 and then set the ladle to stir right.
What Can You Use the Sunlight Potion For?¶
At present, the Sunlight Potion can only be used to clear the Blue Moon Butterflies from the Shining Tree so you can obtain Moonflowers. You can only do this during the main quest currently, and you can’t get any more moonflowers in the early access at least.
