Toppling Towers

After the opening scene you receive the Key of Beginnings . You should note that you can knock down the pillars for prizes in this area. You’ll have to move through several rooms before you can reach the Room of Beginnings so take your time and gain some levels, collect new cards, and build a better deck. You can step on some stones for Moogle Points and HP and some barrels might be Barrel Spiders so watch out! In the Room of Beginnings you’ll meet Phil and receive the Key of Guidance . Head back towards the starting room and turn into the Room of Guidance where Cloud awaits.

Knock over the pillars (left) and stand on the large stones (right) to collect Moogle Points, HP balls, and other cards.

BOSS - Cloud

Cloud hits Sora with his Cross-Slash sleight (left) and misses with Omnislash (right).

Cloud has two sleights that he’ll use, you’ll want to either break them or dodge them by rolling often. Cross-Slash isn’t so bad and doesn’t need to be broken, since Cloud swings his sword around in place. When he uses Omnislash use a 0 card then follow up with a combo. This is a battle where the best defense is a good offense, hit Cloud with what you have. He will start a Strike Raid without a sleight so watch out for that, card breaking when needed. Cloud drops a Hi-Potion upon defeat.

After the battle you receive the Key of Truth . Save if you can, then make your way to the Room of Truth.

BOSS - Hades

Hades shoots flames from his hands (left). Sora failed to dodge the painful Firagaball (right).

Hades is going to be a rough fight at this level, but he’s not unbeatable. Take all of your Fire cards out of your deck and have a few heals ready. Don’t forget to put your new Hi-Potion in the deck so you can get quicker reloads. The Temper Flare sleight that Hades uses will let him spin around the room shooting fire from his hands. It’s not necessary to break this sleight, just run in tight circles to avoid the damage then let him have it. Firagaball is the sleight you want to card break because it hits hard and can be difficult to avoid. Use your Donald and Goofy cards wisely since you don’t get a Gimmick Card in this fight. Once down Hades drops Hades Enemy Card .

After the battle you’ll receive the Cloud card and be taken to the Conqueror’s Respite. Climb up the ladder and save then move to the fourth floor.
