Metallurgy General
Text
Metallurgy is the process of working metal or its alloys, known and refined over millennia, dating back to the earliest civilisations.
Metals can be processed by various methods, such as casting, forging, cold forming, rolling, extrusion, sintering, metalworking, shearing and shaping.
In the 14th century, mining and metal processing were organised through guilds that regulated production quality and ensured compliance with labour standards. Guilds played a crucial role in protecting the rights and interests of their members.
