Step 1¶
The real key to success in Sudden Death mode is to repeatedly pause the game to upgrade and place new towers. The onslaught is constant, so attempting to do this in real-time is a headache you simply don’t have to have.
– Use your initial cash to set a Gatling Tower on each of the tiles shown on the screenshot above.
– Initially focus on upgrading these towers before buying any new ones.
Step 2¶
It’s impossible to stop units from leaving this map. Your only goal (for three stars at least), is to hit that target at the top. As long as no more than two units make it out, you’re still good to go!
– Once you’ve got $90+, drop three Spark Towers in the middle of the map, in-line with the Gun Towers above and below.
– Before you focus on upgrading the Spark Towers, drop another two (one above and one below), so you’ve covered nearly the entire line from top to bottom.
Step 3¶
Spark Towers are one of the most useful towers in the game. Teamed up with a Slow Tower and they’re one of the best ‘bang-for-your-buck’ towers in the game.
– Once the Spark Towers are covering the full height of the map, spend some money on adding more Spark Towers closer to the towers nearer the exit as well as placing a few Ice/Slow Towers down beside the column of Spark Towers to maximise their effectiveness.
Step 4¶
If you’re close to the total (and you’re not after a world record highscore), drop your Airstrike to finish the job and get 1,000+ kills up on the board.
– Block off any remaining gaps in the Spark Towers (with more Spark Towers), so the only pathway for the ground runners are the three metal paths leading to the exit.
