Description

The Boston Police Rationing Site, located in the Commonwealth in 2287, served as a distribution center for supplies provided by the Boston Police Department to civilians. However, it became the subject of investigation by the United States Army due to ration shortages. The site received supplies via a rail line connected to the NH&M Freight Depot nearby.

Background / History

Originally, a pair of community basketball courts and a railway unloading depot were repurposed by the Boston Police Department to establish the rationing station, aiming to aid the destitute with essential goods. Despite security efforts by the United States Army Reserve and distribution responsibilities falling under the 3rd Precinct of the BPD, corruption prevailed. Detectives Francis Perry and John Reise colluded to hoard supplies for the black market, ultimately resulting in their demise and the abandonment of the site.

Layout

Exterior:

The site comprises a yard adjacent to a railway and a section of a train.
Accessible structures include a small two-story warehouse and a trailer checkpoint west of the warehouse.
Notable features include basketball courts, a bus stop, and remnants of a van and coupe.
Containers and shipping equipment litter the area, with a cargo train parked nearby.

Warehouse:

The warehouse contains various shipping crates, a locked steamer trunk, and access to the Mass Pike Tunnel’s utility tunnels.
Entry can be achieved by jumping onto the roof or dislodging a barred door.
Interior features include a Protectron pod, terminal, and storage areas on both floors.

Utility Tunnel:

The tunnel houses a chemistry station and a power armor station.

1. Det. McDonnell’s holotape is found within the police terminal inside the trailer west of the warehouse.
2. Four fragmentation grenades are located in a wooden crate under the desk in the trailer.
