Description
Big John’s Salvage comprises a shop, salvage yard, and family home owned by John Miller before the war. It has since become a battleground between super mutants and raiders, with the former prevailing.

Pre-War:
Owned by John Miller, this area served as a salvage yard and residence. It was a family-owned business in the waning years before the Great War.
Post-War:
Transformed into a super mutant stronghold, the salvage yard now houses hostile mutants. The Miller family’s fate is grim, with their remains found within a bunker beneath the site.
Layout
The salvage yard features platforms and walkways amidst vehicles, containers, and structures. The battle between super mutants and raiders is evident throughout the area. A bunker below the toppled blue train carriage houses significant loot and the remains of the Miller family.

- After completing the main game, a faction squad may be present at the nearby military checkpoint.
Bugs
- The bunker may become sealed again after exiting, rendering it inaccessible. This issue can be resolved using console commands on PC.
- Switching the circuit breaker on before attempting to open the bunker could cause the aforementioned glitch. Reloading the game or opening the bunker before activating the breaker may solve this issue.
