The Pools of the Grey Ones Ruins

Description

The Pools of the Grey Ones is a substantial ruin that dominates the central region of the Isle of Dawn. The southern part of this area consists of three shallow, circular pools situated on elevated platforms, each adorned with a pedestal. These pedestals can be used to summon specific bosses. The region is inhabited and protected by the Grey Ones.

Additional Notes

Placing a Figurine on the pedestal summons the corresponding boss to the central pool. This can be done repeatedly and serves as an effective method for reliably farming rare items like Fragment of Power or Schematics Fragment. Additionally, most bosses drop significant quantities of resources such as Brimstone, Black Ice, Demon Blood, and Raw Ash, making the pools a viable resource gathering location.

Trivia

The Pools of the Grey Ones, along with the Grey Ones themselves, are a reference to Robert E. Howard’s “The Pool of the Black Ones.” In the story, a titular pool is used in a ritual to transmute captured humans into peculiar statues, similar to the Figurines found on the subislands of the Isle of Siptah.
