Cauldron ZETA Override. Oh boy, is the Rockbreaker a dangerous and highly annoying machine. The fight against this machine is essentially a two-stage battle, with the first portion consisting of removing its ability to burrow underground. When the Rockbreaker is underground, you cannot attack it and it’s capable of popping up right underneath you, knock you to the ground. It can also pop up and then quickly go back underground, similar to a dolphin. You might also find it popping up and spitting rocks into the air around its body before diving back down.
Periodically, the Rockbreaker will surface for a little while, which is your chance to use Tearblast Arrows on the Digging Arms. There’s four in total and knocking all four off will prevent it from burrowing underground anymore. If you thought preventing it from digging would make it easy, it’s still going to be a challenging fight. The Rockbreaker still have a few attacks that make it difficult, with the most dangerous being where it tosses a flurry of rocks in your direction. They are thrown in your general direction and there’s a lot of them, making things hard to avoid, but the best way to dodge this is to move away from the Rockbreaker.
After destroying the Digging Arms, the best way to defeat the Rockbreaker is to use freeze arrows, since its body is weak to that. With it frozen, you have a few targets on it that will do more damage than normal, such as the sac on its belly, although you can target this independently of it being frozen or not. Hitting this with enough damage will cause it to explode, setting the Rockbreaker ablaze and damaging any other machines around. The only other weak spot on the Rockbreaker is the Exhaust Port on its back, which you can hit for extra damage. With it frozen, the thing should go down quickly.
