Cuman helmet with a mask Head

Description

A foreign pointed helmet with a visor in the form of an iron mask. Cumans are said to have adopted it from wild nomads called Kipchaks, who are said to drink mare’s milk from buffalo horns and live far out on the eastern steppes. The face with moustache perhaps represents some mythical progenitor of all these nomads.
