Smithing Master Hewg is the first real Blacksmith you’ll encounter and will remain at Roundtable Hold for the duration of the game. Here you can upgrade your weapons beyond the +3 that was available at the Church of Elleh.

You’ll be able to find all ranks of Smithing Stones and Somber Smithing Stones throughout the Lands Between, and our Overview pages for each region will point out where these can be found. Eventually, the best way to stockpile a lot of these are to obtain the numerous Bell Bearings of the Twin Maiden Husks to permanently add them to their Shop. You’ll be able to buy both Smithing and Somber Smithing Stones, but you’ll have to track down any Ancient Dragon Smithing Stones you’re after.
