To use 
Chroma Catalysts you will need to clear the Flying Waters dungeon, after which the Curator will take up residence in a cave at your camp. Talk to the Curator and pick the option [Upgrade Weapons] and you can select weapons you wish to upgrade. Of course, nothing is free, and upgrading weapons requires various resources depending on the weapon’s level.
Battle Loot
This item can drop from enemies in Battle Loot. Whether you recieve it, and in what quantity, depends on the enemy you are fighting and is subject to randomization.

2. The Continent
Take a left past the patrolling 
Portier enemy to the right of the 
Meadows Corridor flag.
3. The Continent
Inside a broken crate on the raised area past the Abandoned Expeditioner’s Camp flag.
5. The Continent
At the end of the area with the mines. As you approach the item, three Demineur will spawn behind you and attack. Run over to the glowing item, then quickly spin 180° and get ready to attack the ambushing monsters. If you’re quick you can get a first strike.
6. The Continent
Lying in front of a large, dead Nevron in the area unlocked after leaving 
Noco’s hut.
10. The Continent
Available for trade from 
Eesda. Go down the shady back-alley at the market and defeat him in combat to unlock him as a trader.
14. The Continent
Ten are available for trade from Grandis. You can trade with Grandis after defeating the 
Stalact at the station.
