An old key for an old door.
Where to Use
Although you receive the 
Old Key in the Prologue, you’re not able to use it until Act II of the story when you visit 
Old Lumière, many hours later. After you reach the 
Left Street Expedition Flag with Maelle and Verso, head through the broken archway and look to your right. You’ll see a crane hook overhead, and a large broken pipe jutting out of the wall with a glowing purple item pickup perched on it. Grab the item while you’re here (a very handy 
Polished Chroma Catalyst), and then drop into the inside of the pipe through the hole.
Turn around inside the pipe and you’ll see a corpse and a journal behind metal gate. The gate is locked but, you guessed it, you can use the Old Key to open it and snag the Journal - 
Fracture Survivor inside. Not the most exciting reward, but if you’re anything like us, you’ll be glad to finally scratch that itch you’ve had since the Prologue. After grabbing the journal, turn around and you’ll find a rope at the end of the pipe to zip you back up top.
