I just used Eldritch Blast on the skulls and Candelabras to one shot them. First time through the game this quest was frustrating, with Eldritch Blast it's pretty straightforward.

I would like to mention the easiest way to handle the cursed skulls and candelabras is to use the Remove Curse spell which isn't mentioned in the spells to bring with you section.

That way you will never be pushed against your will and lose health in addition to haunting effects such as telekinesis chairs being thrown at you will subside from happening.
