Lofoten Bay Harbor

Location Description

According to legend, this bay was formed centuries ago, in the days before men came to live in the Isles. Skellige was then ruled by giants, whose favorite pastime was to engage in vigorous wrestling matches. One day a giant smashed another’s head into the coast of Hindarsfjall so hard, it pushed part of the island underwater. Many centuries later, the village of Lofoten was founded here to take advantage of this convenient harbor.
