Most Goombas can be defeated just by stomping on their heads. But watch out! These Goombas’ heads are hard enough to attack with.

Enemy Attacks

Leap: The Goomba will close in and then perform a flip in the air. Wait for the flip to complete before hitting defend.

Strategy

Perhaps the most iconic, but most unremarkable enemies in Super Mario RPG, you should just use regular timed attacks on them. One hit is often all you need and they deal little in the way of damage to you.
