Enemy Attacks

Swipe: Bowser will leap over to Mario and attempt to swipe him, wait until just before the attack connects to nullify all damage.

Tail Spike: Bowser will turn around and shoot a spike from the back of his shell. Wait for the spike to get just before Mario to defend against it.

Strategy

If you’re paying attention to the on-screen dialogue, you’ll know that Bowser is not your real target here. Instead, ignore him and focus on the Chaindelier behind him with Jump attacks.
