When you enter Cryptic Research Facility in Trei'kuran Dunes and reach the end of it, you'll have to protect Anne while she retrieves some information from a computer console. If her health falls to 0 at all during the battle, then you'll receive a Game Over, so it's important to keep her alive. There are a few things you can do to keep her breathing. The biggest problem with this is that you don't have Miki during this portion of the game, so you have to resort to Fiore being your intermittent healer (she should have the Healing skill)

- Equip Anne with defensive equipment and Roles
- If you have Assassin Role, equip it on Anne
- Equip Fiore with both the Healer and Savior Roles
- Disable all of Fiore's offensive spells (Set Battle Skills and press Square to access the ability to turn spells on/off)
- Equip either Emmerson or Fidel with Machine Slayer Role

You only have three enemies to deal with in the ensuing battle, but they will highly likely go straight after Anne. The Sentinel is the easiest of the three and should be dealt with first, as it doesn't have a lot of health. The Robo Gunners, on the other hand, do have a lot of HP, so they will take a while to kill. They also have an annoying move where they jump into the air and crash into the ground, damaging everyone around them. You can always supplement Fiore's healing with items, as you will likely need to.
