This is essentially a horse riding tutorial disguised as a race, and it’s not a guaranteed easy race either. A lot of the path has some very tight chicanes, meaning you’ll need to keep your eyes not only on the path, but on your radar in the corner as well.
Try and keep a rhythm of taps going with a small break in between. So, tap, tap, tap, pause for a second or two, tap, tap, tap, pause and repeat. You’ll find that this’ll help keep your overall speed up, whilst not using really any of your horses stamina.
You don’t gain or lose anything for winning or losing, so once you’ve crossed the line, you’ll open up access to the sheriff’s office in Armadillo. But for now, we’ll stick with Bonnie’s missions (as they’re closer).
