Crudeshell Crab Animals

Description

Crabs that pile oilsilt on their cup-like carapaces and burrow into the ground to hide from predators. Because oilsilt itself changes appearance depending on the season, it’s theorized that these crabs must replace their silt to match. They are rarely seen in volcanic regions or during the Firespring, suggesting that they aren’t particularly resistant to heat.
