Its an interesting conjecture. Unhappily, the only way we can discover if the growth will form specific and specialized organs if it were to grow large enough is to allow it free rein, and I would hope the arguments against that are self-evident. Even at this generalised level, the organic material is very interesting, showing chemical characteristics not dissimilar to those found in the human brain and nerve tissue. Holder
