Background / History

Vault 114, situated within Boston’s Park Street subway station, was one of Vault-Tec’s ambitious projects before the Great War. Initially designated to accommodate Boston’s affluent citizens, it was designed as a social experiment to observe human behavior under stressful conditions. The Vault’s construction remained incomplete, yet it found a new purpose under the control of mobster Skinny Malone and his Triggermen by 2287.

Layout

Accessed through Park Street station, Vault 114 features an atrium divided into three tiers. The entrance on the second tier leads to the overseer’s office, where Nick Valentine is held captive. Staircases connect the tiers, leading to residential quarters, including communal areas like showers and a cafeteria. The nursery and an exit to Park Street station are accessible from the upper tier.
