The Saga of the Seaside Inn Corel Region

Introduction

The Saga of the Seaside Inn is an extensive side quest in Final Fantasy 7 (VII) Rebirth, introduced in Chapter 7, but its completion requires progress into Chapter 9. Initiated by Johnny, the quest involves aiding in the renovation of his hotel through various tasks across Gaia.

How to Start / Where to Find

To embark on The Saga of the Seaside Inn, players must reach Chapter 7 of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. This chapter begins immediately after the events at Costa Del Sol’s beach. You can either start the quest by speaking to Johnny at his hotel or picking it up from the noticeboard in Costa del Sol.

Objectives:

1. Track Down the Johnnys at the Costa Falls: Locate the Johnnys at Costa Falls.
2. Recover the Refurbishment Materials: Collect lost refurbishment materials from ziplines in Corel.
3. Deliver the Refurbishment Materials: Return the materials to the Johnnys at Costa Falls.
4. Track Down the Johnnys at the Factory Ruins: Find the Johnnys at the Valve Factory Ruins in Corel.
5. Procure a Chocobo: Obtain a Chocobo from the Rent-a-Bird Stables outside Costa del Sol.
6. Obtain the Transmuter Chip: Retrieve the Transmuter Chip from the Valve Factory Ruins.
7. Deliver the Boiler Valve: Craft the Boiler Valve and deliver it to the Johnnys.
8. Track Down the Johnny in the Desert: Locate the final Johnny on the outskirts of the desert.
9. Steal and Deliver the Tonberry King’s Crown: Steal the Tonberry King’s Crown and deliver it to Johnny.
10. Report to Johnny: Return to Johnny’s Seaside Inn and report the quest completion.

Additional Information

• The quest spans Chapters 7 to 9 but cannot be completed until Chapter 9.
• Recovering all eight refurbishment materials yields a three-star subquest completion rating.
• Completion of Expedition Intel lifesprings in the Corel Region unlocks the location of the Transmuter Chip.
• Steal Materia is required to steal the Tonberry King’s Crown during battle.
