These 12 achievements/trophies are related to the completion of some simple in-game tasks that don’t really fall into one of the other categories listed above. They are not particularly difficult, but they can be easy to miss if you don’t know what you are looking for. Fortunately, you’ll be back in free-roam once you have completed Rise of the Tomb Raider’s main storyline so you’ll be able to travel back and complete them at any point afterwards.
Below you’ll find a list of the miscellaneous achievements/trophies and how to unlock each of them:
Description: Shoot a bottle out of the air.
This achievement/trophy is actually as simple as it sounds. Simply pick up a bottle, throw it up high in the air and shoot it before it hits the ground to unlock it. Unfortunately this isn’t the easiest feat in the world to pull off. To make things a little easier you’ll want to use the shotgun as the extra spray means you won’t need to be anywhere near as accurate.

For My Next Trick…
Description: Dive into a well.
This achievement/trophy can be attempted in the Geothermal Valley region, more specifically the area surrounding the ‘Valley Farmstead’ Base Camp.
In the small town area by the Base Camp you’ll find a well in the centre. From the building just north of the well, we can jump into the well. First, you’ll want to climb to the roof of the building using the crates on the well-side of the building. Use the tin roof here to get a run up, sprint and jump towards the well. Quickly press the LT button as you jump to have Lara trigger a swan dive into the well. If successful, the achievement/trophy will unlock.

No Guts, No Glory
Description: Perform a 2.5 second or longer swan dive.
This achievement/trophy can be attempted in the Geothermal Valley. You’ll want to fast travel to the ‘Ridgeline’ Base Camp in the northwest corner of the map.
Once you have arrived on the scene, from the camp fire look for a red ramp overlooking the waterfall below. We’ll need to dive from here for the achievement/trophy. To successfully pull off a dive, run and jump from the ramp. Quickly press the LT button as you jump to have Lara dive into the water below.

Description: Attend a funeral.
This achievement/trophy can be obtained in the Geothermal Valley. You’ll want to fast travel to the ‘Ridgeline’ Base Camp in the northwest corner of the map after returning from The Flooded Archive region.
From the Base Camp, find the path leading down the mountain to the south. As you progress along this, keep an eye on the left hand side for a group of people. They are performing a funeral. Walk over and watch them for a little while to earn yourself an achievement/trophy.

Description: Find the best seat in the house.
This achievement/trophy can be obtained in the Geothermal Valley. You’ll want to fast travel to the ‘Ruins Encampment’ Base Camp in the centre of the map.
From the Base Camp climb the left set of curved stairs to the top. At the ruin here you’ll find a climbable wall and some handholds we can scale to reach a small room at the top. There is a chest containing a Relic here.
From this area, look for a ruin to the south (the target building has the quest giver for the ‘Ancient Secrets’ side-mission in it). Use the tree branch here to swing over to the upper ledge of the ruin. Have Lara hang from the ledge on the inside of the structure and shimmy all the way to the right. You’ll find a chair here. Climb up to the ledge and interact with the chair to unlock the achievement/trophy.
Find the best seat in the house
Description: Stealth kill an enemy while he is having a conversation.
You’ll be able to accomplish this achievement/trophy almost any time you have a stealth scenario in which Lara is undetected. Enemies will speak on their radios from time to time and if you can sneak up and kill one whilst he is having a chat, you’ll unlock the achievement/trophy for doing so.
In the walkthrough above, I have listed the place where I earned the achievement/trophy in the Siberian Wilderness region without even really trying. After you have returned to the Base Camp to craft the Poison Arrows, when you regain control a pair of enemies will come to investigate your position. Take them both down with silent takedowns and the second will more often than not be speaking on his radio at the time.

Description: Perform a manual zip line transfer.
This achievement/trophy requires us to manually drop from one zip line to another without the game automatically chaining together zip line transfers. The only place I could find to do this was just west of the Saw Mill in the Soviet Installation region. Climb to the top of the large stone structure with the wolf cave at its base.
At the very top, you’ll find a zip line. Hop onto this and ride it down. Mash the B/Circle button as you slide down the rope and get close to another to have Lara detach from the first zip line manually and automatically grab the second. If you can’t quite get tit the first time, simply climb back up and try it again. Once successful, the achievement/trophy will unlock.

Description: Kill 50 animals while wearing the Huntress outfit.
Lara will obtain this outfit after completing the ‘Surveillance Disruption’ and ‘A Hearty Meal’ side-missions from the hunter in the southern part of the Geothermal Valley region. Once you have the Hunter outfit, simply head to the closest Base Camp and equip it. Kill animals whenever you come across them whilst it is equipped and once you have killed a cumulative total of 50 animals, the achievement/trophy will unlock.

Description: Kill a razorback boar using a Molotov cocktail.
Upon reaching the ‘Ruins Encampment’ Base Camp in the Geothermal Valley, just to the south there is a small, burnt out building and a cave on a section of ground below the main path. Here you will find a large number of Razorback Boars. Grab a bottle from the crate next to the Base Camp and drop down to the area below. Hit one of the roaming Boars with a Molotov Cocktail to unlock the achievement/trophy.

Description: Shoot a chicken out of the air with a fire arrow.
You’ll unlock the Fire Arrows upon lighting the signal fire in the Geothermal Valley region. Once you have them in hand, use the nearest Base Camp to fast travel to Chicken-rich areas of the world map, most notably either the ‘Valley Farmstead’ or ‘Ruins Encampment’ Base Camps in the Geothermal Valley.
To unlock this achievement/trophy, you’ll need to chase down and pick up a chicken, toss it in the air and shoot it with a Fire Arrow. This will take a few tries, but once you do get around to successfully hitting the chicken, it will unlock for you.

Quick and Painless
Description: Shoot 15 deer in the heart.
You’ll find Deer located throughout the Geothermal Valley, Siberian Wilderness and Soviet Installation maps. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to shoot their hearts right away. Instead, we’ll first need to find and complete the ‘Catacomb of Sacred Waters’ Challenge Tomb so that we gain the unique Skill – ‘Anatomical Knowledge’. This will allow us to see a golden outline of a Deer’s heart when we aim at them for a short time.
Once we have ‘Anatomical Knowledge’ Unlocked, simply fast travel between the three regions with Deer, hunt them down and shoot their hearts until the achievement/trophy unlocks.

Was That Really Necessary?
Description: Kill any animal with an explosive.
Lara will obtain the Grenade Arrows around halfway through the mission that takes us through The Acropolis level. Once you have escaped and are back in free-roam, find yourself an animal and shoot it with a Grenade Arrow to unlock the achievement/trophy.
