Memory Location: North Atlantic (998,217)

The battle of Labrador can be a little tricky due to the environmental factors in play. There are ice bergs scattered all over the battle area and the wind is prone to huge wind gusts at random times which always seems to affect the Morrigan more than any other vessels in the area. In addition to this, there is an enemy fleet that includes brigs, frigates and gunships all of which can be a pain to deal with whilst battling the legendary ship – Couronne.

To begin with, you’ll want to eliminate the first fleet of ships that lay ahead. Try to use your broadside cannons and explosive shots to do so – that way you can save your heavy shot and mortars for the big show. Once the first fleet has been sunk a second will show up along with the Couronne. As the fleet arrives, it will be packed tightly together so quickly use this opportunity to unload some mortars onto it to spread the damage over multiple vessels.

Use mortars to damage multiple ships when the second wave arrives (left). Whilst fighting the Couronne, use mortars (right) and try to be mindful of the wind and icebergs.

After the ships split up, focus on sinking the weaker vessels whilst keeping your distance from the legendary ship. Once the Couronne starts to take a bit of damage, the wind will start picking up and going a little crazy. Make sure you keep an eye on where it is blowing and use it to your advantage or you are likely going to end up in the Couronne’s mortar fire.

To win the fight, you are going to want to unleash your mortars and if you manage to get close enough to the legendary vessel, lay into it with a heavy shot or two. As long as you maintain a bit of distance between the Morrigan and the Couronne, you should have no real issues taking it down to complete the memory (as long as your ship is fully upgraded of course!).
