Moon Studios are taking a new approach with No Rest for the Wicked, but players can expect the same enchanting graphics that we saw in the Ori series, with a distinctive visual style that sets it apart as a new venture. The isometric perspective brings its own challenge, but works surprisingly well in most encounters, while weighty combat mechanics offer satisfying battles throughout. There’s a lot of work for the developers to build on something great here, but it oozes potential.

From my short time with the beta, the key word to describe Where Winds Meet is “Majestic”. Everstone Studio’s passion project is rich in design, deeply detailed, and exudes pride for its historical setting. Where Winds Meet has captivating spirit, and looks set to vivify the open-world genre. Adventure/Soulslike fans should get this on their radar, while Wuxia fans should have locked it in long before now.

Manor Lords shows a lot of promise as an Early Access release, with plenty of great features and engaging gameplay loops. There’s still work to be done, but this is a strong starting point, and there is much evidence to suggest that Manor Lords is on track to become an epic entry in the city-building genre.
