Assassin’s Creed Syndicate has a total of 49 Achievements and 50 Trophies. These are awarded for a undertaking a variety of tasks including: experiencing the single player campaign, checking out some of the game’s many side-missions, nabbing a good portion of the collectibles and undergoing some additional miscellaneous tasks. Below you’ll find a categorized list of the achievements/trophies in the game and how you can unlock each one.
Game Progression Achievements¶
The following nine achievements/trophies will all come with story progression, so as long as you finish the game these should be pretty much un-missable. As these contain plot elements, we have left off the descriptions to avoid potential spoilers.
Here’s a list of said achievements/trophies in order of appearance:
Achievement/Trophy | Unlock |
---|---|
A Spanner in the Works | Complete Memory Sequence 1. |
A Simple Plan | Complete Memory Sequence 2. |
A Modern Babylon | Complete Memory Sequence 3. |

Mentor
In addition to the above nine achievements/trophies there is also an additional trophy that is awarded upon completing all of the campaign missions with 100% synchronisation. This requires that you beat each mission whilst completing all of the optional objectives as you go. Fortunately, the guide above has you covered in doing this for every single mission - so you shuldn’t have too much difficulty by following it.
Associate Activities and Borough Takeover Achievements/Trophies¶
There are 12 achievements/trophies tied into the side-missions available in Assassin’s Creed IV, likely to force those achievement/trophy hunters out there to experience everything the game has to offer. Each of them are fairly self-explanatory and can be obtained by following the relevant sections in the above guide.
Here are a list of the achievements/trophies that fall into this category and what needs to be done to unlock each of them:
A Broad Base and Bedfellows, Strange or Otherwise
This pair of achievements/trophies is related to the six associates in the game and their loyalty levels which will increase as you complete their associate activities. The associates and their tasks include:
- Henry Green - Templar Hunts, Gang Strongholds.
- Frederick Abberline - Bounty Hunts.
- Clara O’Dea - Child Liberations.
- Ned Wynert - Boat Raids, Cargo Hijacks, Cargo Escorts, Smuggler’s Boats, Train Robberies.
- Robert Topping - Fight Clubs, Street Races.
A Broad Base requires that you complete enough of their activities in order to reach Loyalty Level 01 with every associate, whilst Bedfellows, Strange or Otherwise requires you to reach Loyalty Level 05 with one associate. Note that liberating all of the boroughs in London will max out loyalty with henry Green, Frederick Abberline and Clara O’Dea, so as long as you do that, you’ll earn both of these as you go!
The following eight achievements/trophies can be obtained by completing certain numbers of specific associate activities.
Achievement/Trophy | Unlock |
---|---|
A Quarter-Furlong at a Time | Finish first in three different street races. |
Bare-Knuckle Champion | Complete the final round of three different Fight Club activities. |
Children’s Aid Society | Complete five Child Liberation memories. |
Flawless Conquerer | Complete three gang Strongholds whilst fulfilling the optional objectives. |
Guardian Angel | Successfully escort ten friendly cargo shipments. |
Thieftaker | Complete three Bounty Hunt activities with the targets alive. |
Treasure Hunter | Complete ten raids (Boat Raids, Cargo Hijacks, Smuggler’s Boats, Train Robberies) of any type with Jacob or Evie. |
Unqualified Success | Complete three Templar Hunts and their optional objectives. |
The War at Home
This achievement/trophy is only accessible via the WWI Anomaly that appears at the eastern end of the Thames River during (and after) Memory Sequence 05. After completing the initial London Story memory ‘The Darkest Hour’, you’ll be able to free roam in WWI-era London and complete some additional associate tasks.
Speak with Winston Churchill on the Tower bridge to unlock his associate activities. We’ll need to complete all six of his tasks (three Spy Hideouts, two Spy Hunts and the Master Spy Hunt) in order to unlock this achievement/trophy. You can find a guide to completing all of these in the borough liberation section of the guide above.
Street Sweeping
This is a fairly long and involved achievement/trophy that requires that we complete all of the associate activities involved with borough takeovers and the subsequent Gang War in each and every borough of London. This involves:
- 18 Bounty Hunts
- 11 Child Liberations
- 12 Gang Strongholds
- 18 Templar Hunts
- 7 Gang Wars
The good news is you can find a guide to completing all of these (along with all of their optional objectives) in the borough liberation section of the guide above. Upon liberating the final borough, you will unlock the achievement/trophy.
Combat-based Achievements/Trophies¶
There are nine achievements/trophies that are tied into the games combat system and most of these are related to new the new systems and features associated with Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. The majority of these are easy enough to unlock, but will take time to complete due to the cumulative numbers of actions required to unlock them.
Here’s a list of said achievements/trophies and how to accomplish each:
Blade in the Crowd and Blade From Above
These two achievements/trophies are tied into using our hidden blade to assassinate enemies. Blade in the Crowd requires that we sneak up on and assassinate 50 enemies whilst Blade From Above asks us to use the new Rope launcher tool to create zip lines and from these, perform air assassinations on enemies below 20 times. There are plenty of opportunities to achieve both of these and you should have them unlocked well before the end of the game.
Most Unsporting
The Most Unsporting achievement/trophy can be unlocked by using the countershot technique. During combat, you’ll often see a dodge icon appear over your character’s head when an enemy is lining up a shot with a firearm. If you have a revolver equipped (and are facing them), you can mash the dodge button to shoot the enemy before they can get a shot off. Repeat this another 49 times and the achievement/trophy is all yours!
Whirlwind of Death
Reducing an enemy’s health to its lowest possible level whilst they are still alive will have them stand around somewhat dazed (although they can still try a half-hearted swing at you). Attacking an enemy in this state will trigger a flashy, cinematic finishing move that will kill them. With several dazed enemies about it is possible to perform a multi-kill finisher (up to four at once). Simply perform 50 multi-kill finishers and the achievement/trophy will unlock.
Queensbury Rules
Have your combo multiplier reach 40 to unlock this achievement/trophy. This essentially requires us to land 40 blows on enemies in a single combat encounter without receiving damage. To do this, prioritize the use of your dodging and guard break techniques in order to keep on the offensive and avoid incoming damage.
Opium Scourge
This achievement/trophy requires the use of our hallucinogenic darts. To earn it, we’ll need to have four enemies simultaneously under the berserker effect of the darts. To do this, pop a dart into a fire barrel near some enemies to affect those in the immediate area and then, if you haven’t got four, when additional enemies come to fight the afflicted, quickly shoot them with darts as well!
Look Out Below
This achievement/trophy asks us to kill three enemies simultaneously using a set of hanging barrels. Whilst three enemies standing beneath barrels is a pretty rare occurrence, there is a specific location in the campaign where we can complete this task very quickly.
During Memory Sequence 04-02 ‘Unnatural Selection’ you’ll begin on a rooftop opposite a door to a factory we’ll want to enter. Above the door is a set of barrels. Wait a few moments for patrolling guards to make their way around the area and eventually a group of three of them will gather directly below the barrels. At this point hit them with your pistol/throwing knives to unlock the achievement/trophy.
Furious and WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?
This pair of achievements/trophies is associated with vehicular combat in the carriages. Furious requires us to destroy 20 hostile carriages using a combination of boosting and ramming whilst the WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU? achievement/trophy requires us to flip five pursuing carriages by targeting and shooting the horses pulling them.
Character and Gang Development Achievements/Trophies¶
Assassin’s Creed Syndicate has six achievements/trophies that are awarded upon completing various character and gang development tasks. The majority of these are easy enough to unlock, but will take time to complete due to the required funds, materials and XP required to be obtained and some fairly large numbers of repetitive, cumulative actions that need to be undertaken.
Here’s a list of said achievements/trophies and how to accomplish each:
Wonder of the Age, Bartitsu and Phantom
These three achievment/trophies can be achieved by levelling up and maxing out both assassin characters at level 10. Fortunately they share XP and will earn new Skill Points at the same time so you will not need to undertake different tasks for each character. To reach level 10 you will need to unlock all of the available skills in all three skill trees for both Evie and Jacob. Unlocking the three specialised skills for Evie will unlock Phantom , whilst doing the same for Jacob will unlock Bartitsu .
Once all of the skills have been unlocked, the Wonder of the Age achievement/trophy will be yours!
Keys to the City
We’ll get access to the ‘Gang Upgrade’ menu during Memory Sequence 03-02. Afterwards you’ll be able to invest your money and resources into unlocking various upgrades across three Skill trees. We’ll need to unlock every last Gang Upgrade in every tree in order to complete the requirements for this achievement/trophy.
To speed things up, it’s a great idea to start with the ‘Swindler’ skill tree to increase your passive income and reduce the price of items at shops.
Multitalented
Perks are small, passive bonuses awarded to our assassins. There are 29 perks in the game and their bonuses and unlock requirements can be seen in the ‘Perks’ section of the main menu. They are awarded for performing a cumulative total number of some specified actions (e.g. Multi-kill finishers, double assassinations, carriage kills etc.). A complete list of the Perks available in the game can be found above.
Some of these Perks can be quite a chore to unlock due to the large numbers required, so it’s a good idea to check out the ‘Perks’ menu nice and early to know what tasks you’ll need to do and work towards some of them as you progress through the campaign and optional content.
After unlocking 10 of the 29 Perks, you’ll unlock the achievement/trophy.
Collectible Achievements/Trophies¶
These six achievements/trophies are tied into finding and collecting various forms of collectibles hidden throughout Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate’s representation of London. We’ll need to gather all of the Pressed Flowers, Vintage Beer Bottles, pieces of Royal Correspondence, every Secret of London and Historical illustration to unlock them all.
These are the achievements/trophies we are looking at right here:
Achievement/Trophy | Unlock |
---|---|
A Life in Letters | Collect all 12 pieces of Royal Correspondence. |
Cerevisaphile | Collect all 20 Vintage Beer Bottles. |
Chimney Sweep | Find and synchronise all 22 viewpoints. |
Godlike | Find and collect all 32 Secrets of London and acquire the Aegis outfit. |
Language of Flowers | Collect all 30 Pressed Flowers. |
Student of History | Collect all 50 Historical Posters. |
Whilst there are a large number of collectibles to hunt down, as with any Assassin’s Creed game, there a number of ways to mark these collectibles on the world map. Finding and synchronising all of a borough’s viewpoints will unlock locations of Helix Glitches, Chests and Locked Chests on your world map. It is also possible to purchase maps of the more specialized collectibles such as: Pressed Flowers, Historical Illustrations and Beer Bottles from vendors located around the city. See the above Collectibles guide for further information.
Miscellaneous Achievements/Trophies¶
The following seven achievements/trophies were a little hard to narrow down into one of the other categories and they require you to do a range of actions including: playing with high level crafting, completing some crowd events, kill some enemies in unique ways and earn all the achievements/trophies in the game.
Without further ado, here are the related achievements/trophies:
Artisan
The Artisan achievement/trophy requires us to first find and collect a level 10 schematic. The easiest of these schematics to earn is the ‘Legendary Assassin Belt Schematic’ which is earned for completing the final memory in the game, Memory Sequence 09-04 - A Night to Remember.
Once you have a level 10 schematic in hand, head to the Crafting section of the main menu and craft the item from the schematic to unlock the achievement/trophy.
Friends at My Back
Once Evie and Jacob reach character level 5, they will automatically unlock the skill ‘Leadership II’ and will subsequently be able to recruit up to five Rooks at once. Simply recruit and have five Rooks following you around at once to unlock the achievement/trophy.
Needle in a Haystack
This achievement/trophy requires us to earn five assassination kills from within the same haystack. If you want to do them all in a single run, it is best to do so from one of the larger Gang Strongholds with large numbers and using your whistling, last known position and other techniques to lure five different enemies close enough to the same haystack so that you can kill them all.
Alternatively, you can simply use the same haystack to kill five different enemies over time. It is even possible to dive into a haystack, assassinate an enemy and then reload the previous checkpoint and repeat. Doing this five times will also net you the achievement/trophy.
No Ticket
The No Ticket achievement/trophy requires us to engage in combat on trains and in doing so, kick enemies off of them. To do this, simply kill enemies near the edge of the train and our assassins should execute a contextual finishing move and boot them from the moving vehicle. To unlock the achievement/trophy you are required to kick a cumulative total of 50 enemies off trains.
Ordinary Criminal
As you wander the streets of London, you’ll often come across small-scale crowd events in which you can intervene for a minor amount of XP. These include:
- Scaring Bullies
- Killing criminals
- Stealth-kill messengers
- Tackle thieves
To unlock this achievement/trophy, you’ll need to find and complete a total of 20 of these Crowd Events.
Without a Grudge
To unlock this achievement/trophy we’ll need to destroy a total of 5,000 destructibles whilst driving a carriage. This one is the most ‘grindy’ achievement/trophy in the game and will take you quite a while to accumulate the required number. The fastest possible way to earn it is to drive along the footpaths rather than the streets themselves, this will allow you to take out large numbers of bollards, poles and lamps relatively quickly
You Wouldn’t Steal a Policeman’s Helmet
This achievement/trophy requires us to hijack 20 police carriages. Unfortunately, this is trickier than it sounds as we’ll be unable to directly hijack them like a normal vehicle due to the pair of policemen sitting at the front. Instead, you’ll want to climb onto the rear of the vehicle, sneak up to the front, behind the policemen.
To hijack the carriage, you’ll want to shoot/throwing knife one of the policemen in the head and then immediately pressing the B/Circle button to trigger the hijack on the second policeman. Repeat a further 19 times to unlock it!
